You already vote regularly, you've signed a petition or two, maybe you've even marched with like-minded people. Campaigns for the 2022 election are well underway. Flex your political muscle by volunteering to get Democrats elected at all levels.
Local candidates are the ones who make decisions that most affect your day-to-day life. If you are passionate about a candidate or an issue, have positive energy, are creative and are willing to jump in and do the many tasks needed, it only takes a few hours a week to make a big difference.
Phone - Banking: Encourage turnout among voters who support Democratic candidates
Canvassing: Knock on doors to hand out literature about candidates or issues
Mailings: Address envelops, send postcards
Public events: Be visible, attend rallies and parades, hand out literature
Hold a house party: Raise funds, give personal exposure to candidates, inform voters
Voter registration: Get young voters or newcomers to register to vote and to go to the polls
Publicity: Put up yard signs, deliver window signs to businesses, write articles for local newspapers, use social media to promote candidates or issues
